Description

The cascade's flow shifts sharply with the weather, easing into a soft trickle in the dry summer. Its runoff feeds directly into Jocelyn Hollow Creek on its way east toward Richland Creek, bordered by dozens of acres of mature forest. The protected grounds shelter wildflowers, salamanders, and roaming bobcats across sensitive woodland habitat. First secured by the TennGreen Land Conservancy in 2013 and transferred to Metro Parks in 2015, the parcel preserves a quiet headwater corridor tucked into West Meade.
