Welcome Park
4.3 (24)park
A quiet park that lays out colonial Philadelphia underfoot through a carved pavement map and a statue of William Penn.
Description

Originally designed by Venturi, Scott Brown and Associates, the park occupies the site of the former Corn Exchange National Bank along Sansom Walk. It is named after the ship *Welcome*, which brought William Penn to Pennsylvania in 1682. Along with Penn's bronze likeness, the stone installation identifies specific historic sites across the original colonial layout.
