Weir River Farm

Once the country estate of artist Polly Thayer Starr, the property preserves one of Hingham's last working agricultural landscapes. Pastures of goats, sheep, and pigs sit alongside oak and red cedar woodlands and upland grasslands. Footpaths descend from Turkey Hill across open fields into The Grove, where an open understory reminiscent of a British woodland shelters a shrub-lined Garden Path. For longer treks, the farm's network directly links into Whitney and Thayer Woods, giving walkers access to nearly 5,000 contiguous acres of open space.
