Close the laptop and take the weeknight outside. Town of Wellesley Public Tennis Courts spans Hunnewell Courts, Sprague School, and Schofield School, with tennis and pickleball across the network. Green playing surfaces, red surrounds, and trees beyond the fences give the next rally a change of scenery.
Players without a membership can use open courts on a first come, first served basis. Wellesley residents can obtain online memberships and reserve through PlayLocal for day and evening sessions. Hunnewell reservations run daily from eight AM to nine thirty PM, and night play tags apply there.
For an after work meetup, separate the resident reservation route from walk on access before heading out. An open court is the starting point for a spontaneous game, rather than a guaranteed booking. Evening play under the lights adds another option at Hunnewell. Pack a racket or paddle and make the next weeknight about the game.
