Description

Rooted in a framing practice that began in the 1970s, the space formally established itself in 1986 and expanded in 2005 to showcase artists. Today it gathers work by local, national, and international makers, spanning traditional and contemporary paintings, sculpture, ceramics, wood turning, fiber art, and jewelry. In the workshop, the focus centers on preservation using acid-free materials and ultraviolet-filtering glazing. Tucked into Foggy Bottom right beside the Kennedy Center, it offers straightforward access to Georgetown, the West End, and downtown Washington.
