Watch Sharks Swim Overhead After a Long Lunch
Explore living coral habitats and ocean conservation during a waterfront afternoon at Seattle Aquarium Ocean Pavilion.
🪸 Inside the Coral Triangle
Give a long lunch its full stretch, then spend the afternoon at Seattle Aquarium Ocean Pavilion on Alaskan Way. This indoor stop centers on the Coral Triangle, a marine region of the Indo Pacific recognized for its dense biodiversity. It brings the focus of a Seattle waterfront afternoon to a different part of the ocean.
The habitats gather over 5,000 animals and plants, including schooling fish, mangroves and bowmouth guitarfish. Sharks and rays swim overhead in a reef habitat spread across multiple stories. Look past the larger animals for more than 40 species of coral, with time to take in the range of living displays.
Digital storytelling traces the connections between waters around the world and places ocean conservation alongside the habitats. Make space for that part of the experience after the reef. It opens daily from half past nine AM to 6 PM, with last entry at 5 PM.
