Watch Passing Trains From This Bronx Playground For Smaller Kids

Plan a short family outing at Jennie Jerome, a freshly painted stop for younger children.

Make time for a playground break.

🚆 A Playground For Train Spotters

Jennie Jerome Playground turns a short neighborhood outing into a chance to watch the railway in motion. Passing trains come into view every 15 minutes, giving young transit enthusiasts something to track between stretches of play. At 1650 Jerome Avenue in the Bronx, the park offers a local alternative when a beach trip is off the agenda.

The newly built, freshly painted space is geared toward smaller children and keeps its setup simple. A single sprinkler adds summer cooling, making the warmer months the time to factor water play into a stop here. Highway traffic is visible too, another moving subject beyond the playground itself.

The park opens daily from 7 AM to 6 PM, with the same window across the week. There are no public bathrooms, a detail to account for before heading out for the day with little ones.
