Watch Brooklyn Traffic From a Monument Base Perch

Pause at Grant Gore Triangle, where the only seat is the base of an equestrian memorial.

Pause beside the Grant monument.

🗿 A Monument Without Benches

Grant Gore Triangle puts a Brooklyn pause right in the middle of a busy street. On Bedford Ave, this landscaped patch gathers around an equestrian statue of Ulysses S. Grant. Traffic passes close to the monument, giving you a place to watch the neighborhood move while the figure on horseback holds its position above.

The seating arrangement is part of the stop. There are no wooden benches here, and the concrete base serves as the only place to sit. Its low ledge has room for a small group. Settle beside a friend for a conversation with the street in front of you, or stand back to take in the memorial from ground level.

Entry is free, and the triangle is open 24 hours every day. Work it into a walk when you want a brief outdoor pause, or make this small memorial the destination for a moment outside.
