🎭 A Shadow Cast Under the Open Sky
On Saturday, October 24, the outdoor bandshell at Industry City turns a film night into a group performance. The bkONE shadow cast recreates the film's scenes live in front of the screen as the 1975 cult classic plays from 8:00 PM, and the crowd is invited to shout, dance, and use props. This year the night also includes a video tribute to Tim Curry, the actor behind Dr. Frank-N-Furter. First-timers are welcome, and costumes are encouraged.
🌮 Tacos, Props, and a Look-Alike Contest
Taco Mix serves food all night in the courtyard, which makes it easy to eat before the 8:00 PM start or during the film. Prop bags are available to buy for anyone arriving without their own. Guests dressed as Frank-N-Furter can enter the look-alike contest for five dollars, and the audience picks the winner from the crowd.
🕺 Stay Late for Time Warp After Dark
When the credits roll, the night turns into Time Warp After Dark, a DJ party with DJ Dmitri keeping the dance floor moving late into the night. The party requires its own ticket, separate from the free screening. Costumes stay welcome after the film, and drinks are on hand for anyone staying late. The bandshell sits inside the Industry City courtyards in Sunset Park.
