Warm Beignets Open a Sweet, Spooky Savannah Walk After Dark

A 7:00 PM walk that opens with beignets at Toast, then mixes pastries, churros and Southern sweets with Savannah ghost stories.

The walk starts at 7:00 PM in front of Toast! All Day on West Broughton Street, where a guide in an Underground Donut Tour T-shirt meets the group. The operator plans about two hours, and one traveler in August 2026 counted six treat stops in that time. The route ends at City Market, not back at Toast, so if you drive, the operator asks you to remember where you parked.

The operator describes the evening as part dessert crawl, part ghost walk, with stories of Savannah's past told between bites.

The ticket covers the guided walk and the tastings along the way. Gratuities are not included. This listing sells two ticket types, adult for ages 19 to 65 and child for ages 6 to 10, and a child has to be booked with an adult. Friday to Sunday nights cost a little more than Monday to Thursday.

Beignets at Toast, Then Churros and Southern Candy

The first tasting happens at the meeting point: warm beignets at Toast, lightly dusted with powdered sugar, while the guide starts on Savannah's early days. After that the operator lists flaky pastries, creamy frozen desserts, classic Southern candies, warm churros with cinnamon sugar and what it calls nostalgic sweets straight from the riverfront. The operator's description of this evening route does not name the shops after Toast. The listing's inclusions add donuts, and one August 2026 traveler did mention snacking on donuts along the way.

Everything on the operator's list is sweet. Another traveler's advice was short: come hungry. The operator asks guests with food allergies to tell it ahead of time, and the booking form has a field for special requirements.

Wright Square's Statue and Boulder, After Dark

The listing names Wright Square among the stops, with about 15 minutes there, and describes its two monuments as a towering statue and an enormous boulder. It gives City Market about half an hour, and that is where the walk finishes. Between the squares the stories run from ghostly encounters to local legends and unsolved mysteries, tied to the streets you are walking.

In reviews, travelers talk about the history as much as the ghosts. One wrote that the historical background added to the ghost stories, and the listing itself calls this a family-friendly ghost tour with a playful twist.

Two Hours on Foot, and Who the Tickets Fit

The listing calls the walk suitable for all physical fitness levels, yet it also advises against it for anyone who cannot walk for two hours in various weather conditions. The operator says its tours run roughly 1.5 to 2 miles and take place outside, so dress for the evening. Service animals are allowed.

This listing sells no ticket for ages 11 to 18, 66 and over, or under 6. It still says infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller, and one August 2026 review came from a family of four with two teenage boys. The listing does not explain the gap, so use the special requirements field to tell the operator who is coming before you pay.

Ten Minutes' Grace, the 24-Hour Line and Halloween

The operator waits until ten minutes past the start time and then sets off. If you will be later than that, it asks you to call and meet the group at its second location.

On this listing a full refund needs at least 24 hours' notice, and later cancellations get nothing back. As of October 22, 2026, the 7:00 PM walk on October 31 still showed open seats. The only dates the listing marks unavailable are November 26 and December 25.

📍 Meet in front of Toast! All Day at 1 West Broughton Street at 7:00 PM and look for the Underground Donut Tour T-shirt. If the weather turns, the listing says to go inside and meet there, and Toast's own site lists the Savannah location as open until 10:00 PM.

The walk finishes at City Market about two hours later. The operator says its tours do not loop back to the start and that most of its routes can be walked end to end in about 30 minutes, so the stroll back to Broughton Street is the last quiet stretch of the night.
