Trade the usual neighborhood loop for gravel roads and grassy fields at Seattle Farm. The farm is a century old. This Rainier Beach property is family owned and still operates as a working horse farm, with homebred ponies alongside horse leasing and boarding services. Pondside swings offer another way to pause during an afternoon outdoors.
The daily opening window runs from half past ten AM to 3 PM. Seasonal gatherings include Apples and Ponies events at 50 dollars and Pumpkins and Ponies events at 30 dollars. Check the event dates before making either one the center of an outing, rather than assuming an event runs whenever the grounds are open.
Find the farm at 9761 Beacon Ave S, halfway between SeaTac Airport and downtown Seattle. Private events and weddings also take place here, and larger gatherings can be planned directly with the farm.
