Walter Family Arctic Tundra
4.4 (27)attraction
4.4 (27)Lincoln Park Zoo’s arctic habitat pairs rocky ledges with underwater glass, framing polar bears as they swim and dive.
Description
Built to replicate a cold-weather polar ecosystem, the habitat looks onto both land and water through large glass viewing panes. In addition to polar bears moving across the rugged, snow-topped terrain, diving seabirds navigate the icy pools, providing close vantage points on arctic species above and below the surface.
