Description

Philanthropist Sir Richard Wallace originally funded these cast-iron installations to provide clean drinking water in Paris after the Franco-Prussian War. Designed by French sculptor Charles-Auguste Lebourg, the Westwood Boulevard fixture remains an authentic example of that 19th-century civic effort, standing as both an operational drinking fountain and a piece of international public art.
