Description
The lineage traces back to the 1940s, when Winton and Willie Wallace introduced the original family recipes at Atlanta's Old Hickory Barbecue. In 1966, Gerald Wallace branched out to Austell, establishing a neighborhood anchor and gathering spot that drew new customers as well as patrons who followed the family from the city. Steered by Mickey and Martha Wallace Taylor for over 50 years, the operation continues to rely on immediate and extended relatives pitching in to serve barbecue, Brunswick stew, and all the fixings.
