Walk Out From Chautauqua, Stop for Yoga Below the Flatirons

A guided walk on the trails above Chautauqua with yoga folded in, and no yoga or hiking experience needed.

Pair a Chautauqua hike with yoga below the Flatirons.

At Chautauqua, a meadow runs uphill into the tilted slabs of the Flatirons. The Planted Yogi turns that view into a guided outing. You meet at the Ranger Cottage by the trailhead, walk out at a relaxed pace, and stop along the way to stretch, breathe and do yoga outdoors.

The pace bends to whoever turns up, with plenty of stops for views and breath. The company is Ciara Martin's. Her own page lists a 200-hour yoga teacher training and a wilderness first aid certification from NOLS, and the reviewers on this listing who name a guide name her.

One booking takes up to fifteen travelers, each on an adult ticket at USD 119, for one of two daily starts. The listing's one inclusion is a yoga mat.

A Walk That Keeps Stopping on Purpose

The listing does not name a trail. It promises scenic trails near Chautauqua at a relaxed, adaptable pace, and the operator says the yoga is practiced along the way.

The reviews fill in the shape. One describes the hike, the yoga and a guided meditation being tailored to a family. Another singles out the mindful hiking as a favorite. A third puts it plainly: "Have your camera ready because it's absolutely gorgeous hike and great experience with the yoga at the end."

Plan for two hours by the listing's count, and up to two and a half by the operator's. The listing sells it as 120 minutes. The operator's own page says approximately 2 to 2.5 hours.

This Listing Sells Adult Tickets Only

The booking here has a single ticket type, adult. There is no child or youth ticket on it. That matters because the operator's own page sets no minimum or maximum age and welcomes children who come with a parent or guardian. If you are bringing anyone under 18, this listing has no ticket to buy for them.

Fitness is the other line to read. The listing asks for at least a moderate level of physical fitness and does not recommend the outing for travelers with poor cardiovascular health. The operator says you do not need to be a serious hiker. Solo is fine too. One reviewer wrote: "Came to boulder solo and was kinda nervous about booking a hike online but Ciara made me feel so comfortable."

Book Two Days Out, Then Wait for a Yes

The listing stops taking bookings 48 hours before each start, and confirmation is manual: the operator approves each request. A same-day or next-day plan will not work through this link. The operator's own page adds that public hikes run on reservations, and that a slot with no bookings may not go ahead.

Cancellation follows the listing. Cancel at least 24 hours before the start for a full refund. The listing also flags the hike as weather-dependent, so the operator can call it off for bad weather.

Parking Is Free at Chautauqua Most of the Year

📍 The meeting point is the city's Ranger Cottage at the Chautauqua trailhead, on the Baseline Road side of the park. Its lot has 48 standard spaces, with limited street parking around the Chautauqua lawn and overflow along Baseline Road. The city warns the area gets crowded on fair-weather days.

Parking at Chautauqua is free in fall, winter and spring, and on summer weekdays. On summer weekends and holidays, from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day, it costs USD 2.50 an hour. The cottage has restrooms on the east side of its front porch and a fountain for filling water bottles.

Bring comfortable outdoor clothes and water, as the operator asks. The mat is covered. Take the walk slowly. The stops are the point, and the Flatirons are right there when you look up from the last pose.
