🌳 An evening at Mitchel Square

Mitchel Square gives your evening walk a green pause in Washington Heights, directly across from the hospital complex on busy 168th Street. A small lawn breaks up the pavement, with mature trees, benches and a World War I memorial giving you a few reasons to linger.

The public park is open daily from 6 AM until 1 AM, leaving room for a stop after work or dinner. Look for the sculptures on the grass and the natural rock outcrop beside the paved walkway, then take a seat before heading back into the sidewalk traffic.
