W. Hideaway Lounge

Founded in 1984 by Mr. Willie G, this Bronzeville staple stands as one of the oldest Black-owned bars in Chicago. His daughter took the helm in 2018, renovating the space with a modern aesthetic geared toward a mature nightlife crowd while keeping its neighborhood roots intact. Evenings feature house legends playing back-to-back sets alongside community staples like bingo and karaoke. The room is compact and can get loud and crowded, driven by an easygoing crowd and a full bar.
