Village Cigars

First established in the early 1900s as Union Cigars, the store spent over a century at 7th Avenue South and Christopher Street selling cigars, lottery tickets, candy, and smoking accessories. Its distinctive triangular building functioned for decades as a practical orientation point within the Village's tangled street grid and a quick stop before hitting Christopher Street nightlife, remaining an iconic local marker until its permanent closure in February 2024.
