When matches aren't taking place on the fenced oval, the stadium grounds remain open to the public, incorporating public art, sculpture, and a community centre alongside its open lawns. A fully enclosed off-leash dog area sits near the former terraces, with BBQ facilities scattered around the grounds. In wet weather, poor drainage leaves the turf sodden and muddy, so ground conditions vary noticeably with the season.
