Description

Named for the architect and preservationist who led efforts to save Pioneer Square and Pike Place Market, the park features landmark poles carved by Native American artists. Sightlines extend across Puget Sound toward the Olympic Mountains, taking in passing ferries and the waterfront Ferris wheel. Scattered with benches and chess tables, the grounds offer an easygoing community gathering spot to picnic, walk dogs, and watch activity move along the harbor.
