🥢 Chinese Traditions, Reworked

Chinatown has a vegetarian Chinese kitchen where your order can get unusually specific. At The Original Buddha Bodai Kosher Vegetarian Restaurant, custom dishes can leave out soy sauce, salt, MSG, or prepared sauces on request. Ask about the adjustment you need before choosing a dish, rather than assuming it applies across the menu.

The dim sum sampler gives you a starting point. Baked BBQ buns and tender soy chicken are among the other preparations here, with mock meats part of the traditional Chinese cooking. There is room to make that meal about several smaller dishes or a single preparation, depending on what you want to try.

The restaurant began operating in 2004, and its Chinatown home is at 5 Mott St. It opens from 11 AM to 9 PM Monday through Friday, and from 10 AM to 9 PM on Saturday and Sunday.
