Van Leeuwen began in 2008 out of a yellow truck on the streets of NYC, started by Ben Van Leeuwen, Pete Van Leeuwen, and Laura O'Neill with a mission to make good ice cream that makes you feel good. Base recipes stick to fresh milk, cream, cane sugar, and egg yolks while avoiding artificial flavors and thickeners.
