Van Fleet Park
4.3 (74)park
A neighborhood park featuring open lawns and a forest critter-themed playground built around leaves, logs, and sprouts.
Description

Set across 2.8 acres in the Northwood neighborhood, the park was originally part of a planned community built by the Vancouver Housing Authority in the Heights area after WWII. Its namesake is Lewis Van Vleet, an early Clark County surveyor, territorial legislature representative, and the original grantee of the land. In 1887, his daughter Louisa became Clark County’s first female doctor.
