The Western Ridge Trail and Valley Trail serve as the two primary north-south routes through Rock Creek Park, color-coded green and orange on park maps. Frequent east-west connectors link the two corridors, making it simple to cross between them at multiple points along the way. Favorite places to begin include the Nature Center, Peirce Mill, and Boundary Bridge, as well as Picnic areas 6–10.
