Jaime ‘Jimmy’ Redondo Valerio and his wife Gloria established the shop on May 19, 1979, marking the first ever Valerio’s in the States. The bakery introduced traditional flavors and baking practices from the Philippines to San Diego, preparing desserts and Filipino comfort food the traditional way.
