Uzbeki Kebabs Await Three Floors Up in the Diamond District
Order manty and shakarob at Taam Tov, where the restaurant entrance has no street level signage.
🥟 Beyond the Unmarked Entrance
Taam Tov Restaurant takes a little searching on West 47th Street. At number 41 in the Diamond District, the kosher Uzbeki kitchen sits on the third floor, with no street level signage announcing it below. Find the building number, then climb the three flights of stairs to a cozy dining room. The reward for looking up is a meal tucked away from the sidewalk.
Kebabs and plov are the hearty classics here. Juicy manty dumplings offer another way into the menu, alongside shakarob made with tomato and onion. Loaded chicken wraps and shawarma give you more to consider, while beef samsa rounds out the selection. That leaves a choice between several distinct dishes before you settle on your order.
The kitchen opens Monday through Thursday from 11 AM to 8 PM and Friday from 11 AM to 4 PM, with Saturday and Sunday closed.
