Uzbek Shashlik in Brooklyn With a Taste of Everything Special
Order Uzbek shashlik, chalagach and mixed platters on Avenue U, or let the house special cover the whole menu.
🍢 Skewers and a House Special
Uzbek shashlik in Brooklyn has a dedicated home at Shashlik House on Avenue U. The grill turns out shashlik and chalagach skewers, with mixed platters for the table, and the house special gathers a taste of the kitchen into one order.
Two routes work here. Pick individual skewers when one cut is calling your name, or start with the house special for a little of everything when the group cannot agree. Mixed platters land in between, a shareable way to work through the grill.
Bring your phone to the table, as the menu is digital and you browse it on your own screen before ordering. Reserve ahead, then take the skewers and platters at your own pace. The restaurant at 1240 Avenue U opens at 11 AM on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with an early 9 AM start on Thursday. All six open days run until 11 PM, and Wednesday is closed, leaving room for lunch or a late dinner of grilled skewers.
