Description

Built in 1994 as part of the Physics and Astronomy building, the space functions as a campus classroom that also opens to UW students, K-12 groups, and the public. A 2009 collaboration with Microsoft’s WorldWide Telescope team converted the venue into a fully digital dome powered by an 8-million-pixel display, with UW Student Technology Fee grants in 2015 and 2020 providing updated projectors and computing equipment to sustain the presentations.
