Description

Built in 1942 by Brooklyn’s Wheeler Shipyard, the 83-foot wooden vessel was one of 60 cutters transported across the Atlantic on the decks of Liberty Ships to Poole, England, where they formed Rescue Flotilla One. Designated USCG-11 (CG-83366), it stands as the only remaining cutter of the original 60. The foundation’s current work centers on raising funds for the craft's restoration.
