Description
Under a planned donation from the Le Guin family to Literary Arts, the home will realize intentions the author expressed before her death in 2018. An advisory group of writers and literary professionals will select residents, offering time and space free of daily demands alongside varying residency lengths and a stipend. Following Le Guin’s wishes to broaden opportunities, the initiative will favor writers of the western States without excluding other regions. The home is scheduled for renovations across 2026–27, with the residency launching in 2027–28.
