🦃 Holiday Gathering
🚪 Morning Delivery Shifts
Volunteers report to the back parking lot at 593 Columbus Avenue at 88th Street to pick up delivery bags and route manifests. Advance registration is strictly required online for all volunteer shifts, and Home Delivery 2 (10:00–11:00 AM) remains open for walking routes within neighborhood apartment buildings. Driving shifts require bringing your own vehicle, while shifts fill quickly on the Corsizio portal.
🍽 Community Dining Room
From noon until 3 PM on Thanksgiving Day, the center dining room opens a traditional holiday dinner for anyone who would like a warm meal. Guests not in need of a free meal are encouraged to sign up as volunteers first, ensuring food reaches vulnerable neighbors. Meals are limited to one plate per guest with no sign-up or ticket required, seating neighbors and local seniors at shared community tables.
🍂 Arrival and Neighborly Support
Take the 1 train to 86th Street and Broadway or the B/C train to 86th Street and Central Park West; both stations sit within a short walk of the center. Supplies drop-offs and turkey donations are accepted on weekdays from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM at 593 Columbus Avenue. Afterward, walk five blocks west to Riverside Park for an afternoon stroll along the Hudson before sunset.
