Upper East Side Cocktail Bar Serving Drinks Above A Deli
Sip drinks at an Upper East Side cocktail bar pairing craft pours with Jewish deli plates.
🍸 Rye In Two Forms
Finding an Upper East Side cocktail bar with a culinary twist leads upstairs to 2nd Floor Bar and Essen. The lounge sits directly above the historic neighborhood deli on First Avenue, pairing house cocktails with traditional Jewish deli snacks and cured meats.
Guests reach the room through a separate entrance on East 75th Street without passing through the ground floor counter. The dimly lit hideaway gives patrons space for quiet conversation over savory small plates, where rye appears in both pastrami sandwiches and cocktail glasses.
Drinkers can stop in for evening highballs or stay late over hearty shared dishes. The bar welcomes patrons Tuesday through Thursday from 5 PM until midnight, extending service on Friday and Saturday until 2 AM. Doors remain closed on Sunday and Monday.
