Upasana Performing Arts Center
theater
A Nashville studio dedicated to Kathak, teaching and staging the rhythmic storytelling of North Indian classical dance.
Description
Active in Greater Nashville for over twenty years, the center grounds its training in a classical tradition that evolved from nomadic actors through royal courts. Upasana’s curriculum blends Kathak with music, storytelling, and movement theory, shaping a study practice centered on discipline, grace, and self-expression.
