Union Point Park

Set near Coast Guard Island south of the Embarcadero shoreline, the city-operated park introduced open space and shoreline access to a part of Oakland that had lacked both. The grounds feature landscaped gardens alongside picnic and barbecue facilities and children's play structures with a marine theme, all connected by dedicated pedestrian and bicycle paths.
