Uncle Charlie’s Piano Lounge

Tucked away near Grand Central, this spot has the unpretentious character of a hole-in-the-wall dive bar. From Monday through Saturday, patrons are invited to sing along with the piano players, who take requests for a casual, live-karaoke feel where vocal talent is entirely optional. If you are visiting specifically for the music, keep in mind there is no live piano on Sundays. Outdoors, the small terrace offers a spot to unwind with a view of the Empire State Building.
