Uluhaimalama
attraction
Queen Liliuokalani’s royal garden-turned-cemetery sent flowers to her during her confinement after the 1893 overthrow.
Description

After the government of the Hawaiian Kingdom was seized, Uluhaimalama was a source of flowers delivered to Queen Liliuokalani during her imprisonment at Iolani Palace and her subsequent confinement at Washington Place. More than a century after its function shifted from a garden to a cemetery, the original lots have remarkably remained intact.
