5.0 (2)A West Oʻahu hub connecting families to Hawaiian culture through place-based arts workshops and community gatherings.
Description
Founded in 2014, the center works to keep local communities knowledgeable about and engaged in the places they live. Its schedule pairs out-of-school youth programs with workshops in Native Hawaiian arts and practices for parents and families. Beyond the classroom, activities center on monthly community experiences at Pu‘uokapolei, a cultural and historic site within Kapolei Regional Park, alongside two signature annual events: Makahiki ma Kapolei and the Kapu‘uola Hula Festival.
