Ugly — live music at Islington Assembly Hall

Six voices collide in an open-ended quest for unclassifiable music. What began in Cambridge and now lives in London folds sacred choral harmonies into sprawling post-rock and the melodic warmth of ’60s and ’70s folk-rock. The songwriting is an exercise in contrast and the rejection of convention, aiming for music that honestly represents all six distinct voices.
