Description

Beyond its role as a Smithsonian Affiliate, this facility serves as the official visitor center for NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center. The exhibition space is defined by its massive collection of space hardware, anchored by a full-scale Saturn V rocket and a variety of historic capsules. Inside, you can engage with 8K digital planetarium shows that prioritize visual immersion, or occasionally find experts on-site; visitors have reported opportunities to converse with rocket scientists. While the experience is extensive, be aware that interactive stations occasionally experience maintenance issues.
