Two Kensington Coffee Stops From Loaded Bagels to Evening Jazz
A roomy Church Avenue cafe built around lattes and loaded bagels, and a Cortelyou Road coffee bar that turns to natural wine and live jazz after dark.
Church Avenue and Cortelyou Road
Lattes and Loaded Bagels
LARK Cafe on Church Avenue is a bright, modern coffeehouse with plenty of room to work or talk. Lavender and pistachio lattes lead the drinks, and the kitchen turns out loaded salmon bagels, white fish on an everything bagel with dill scallion cream cheese, pies and sandwiches. It also hosts daily classes for children.

Cortados by Day and Jazz by Night
Bad Therapy on Cortelyou Road starts the day with matcha, cortados and light bites. In the evening the focus moves to natural wine and cocktails in a low-key, romantic room, with live music such as the Joel Viera Quartet at the bar and occasional movie screenings, plus a backyard.

Morning Bagels or an Evening Set
LARK Cafe suits a morning bagel and latte with room to spread out. Bad Therapy suits a later coffee that can roll into a glass of natural wine and a live set.
