Two Beginner Lessons Upstairs, Then Mango's Opens the Dance Floor

Salsa Mia teaches the class, Mango's hosts it, and one booking covers both halves of the night. The club part starts when the class ends.

Salsa Mia runs this evening inside Mango's Tropical Cafe, at 900 Ocean Drive between 9th and 10th Streets, facing the ocean. The room is on the second floor. A table in the Mojito Room is held for you from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM, which is what separates this from walking into a club cold.

Nobody is expected to arrive knowing the steps. Both lessons are built for beginners, guides work in English and Spanish, and the operator lists every fitness level as suitable. The evening runs 150 minutes, from the table to the club doors.

The running order is published in advance. Bachata at 8:00 PM. One mojito and a three-item appetizer tasting at 9:00 PM. Salsa at 9:20 PM. Nightclub entrance at 10:00 PM.

One booking covers the table, both lessons, the drink, the tasting and entry to the club.

Two Lessons, Eighty Minutes Apart

Bachata opens at 8:00 PM, thirty minutes after the table is yours. Salsa follows at 9:20 PM, once the food has landed. Both lessons are labelled beginner, and every age is welcome on the floor until 10:00 PM.

The eighty minutes in between carry the rest of the package. The mojito and the tasting arrive at 9:00 PM, and the room fills in around the lesson space. Two dances in one evening means the second one starts with a floor that already knows where it is standing.

One Mojito and Three Plates at Nine

The food arrives in the gap. One mojito and a three-item appetizer tasting land at 9:00 PM, between bachata and salsa. Alcoholic beverages and snacks both sit inside what the ticket covers.

Dinner sits outside it. The operator lists dinner as excluded, and a table after 10:00 PM is excluded as well. Anyone who wants a full meal arranges that separately. Treat the evening as a tasting with a drink, and eat beforehand if you want more than three plates.

What the Door Turns Away

The dress code is published, and the door works to it. Flip flops, bathing suits and see-through clothing are all listed as turned away. Men are additionally barred in baseball hats or tank tops.

Shoes matter more than the rest of it. The operator asks for a back strap, which rules out most beach sandals, and names heels and tennis shoes as acceptable. Coming straight off the sand does not work. You will need to change first.

The venue is wheelchair accessible, and every physical fitness level is listed as suitable.

Which Night to Pick

The operator draws a line through the week. Fridays and Saturdays are named as the biggest party nights. Sunday through Thursday are pointed at anyone who would rather work with smaller groups.

Guests under 21 are welcome until 10:00 PM, and leave when the nightclub opens. The lessons, the drink and the tasting all finish before that line. An under-21 guest still gets the whole Sip, Savor and Salsa portion of the night.

Celebrating something specific is handled in advance. The operator takes a note with what should go on the table card, and wants it before the night rather than at the door.

All sales are final. The operator refunds no cancellations, which makes the date you pick the date you go.

📍 Mango's Tropical Cafe sits at 900 Ocean Drive, between 9th and 10th Streets, facing the ocean. Tell the host you are there for Salsa Mia, then take the stairs to the second floor. The Mojito Room is the second door on the left.

Parking and transport are both excluded, and the operator points at taxis and rideshare over driving in. Public transport runs nearby.

Doors to the club open at 10:00 PM with a live band in front of the dance floor, and the wristband lets you step out and come back. The beach is across the road when the room gets warm.
