Twelve Languages Narrate This Self-Guided Charleston Ghost Walk
A self-guided ghost walk you play in your phone browser, from Waterfront Park to St. Michael's Church on Broad Street.
Nobody leads this Charleston ghost tour. You unlock it on the operator's website, open each stop's Google Maps link in your phone browser, walk there and press play. The operator's route page puts the walk at about a mile, starting at Waterfront Park and ending at St. Michael's Church on Broad Street.
Six of the twelve languages are found only here: French, German, Italian, Russian, Arabic and Korean narration is offered on no other tour the operator sells. Spanish, Portuguese, Hindi, Japanese and Chinese also cover its ghost tours in a few other cities, and English covers all of them.
The listing times the walk at sixty minutes. The operator's FAQ says most of its tours take about an hour to an hour and a half, and that you can pause and pick up later.

Checkout gets you a password, not a ticket. The voucher sends you to the operator's website: choose a language, choose the tour, tap Get Password, fill in a short form, then return to the city page and enter the password. The operator says it can be unlocked from anywhere, and the listing says access lasts seven days once activated. The listing asks for one internet-connected smartphone per guest, and the password works on as many phones as tickets bought.
Charleston Ghost Tour in 12 Languages (Self-Guided Audio Tour)A self-guided browser audio ghost walk from Waterfront Park to St. Michael's Church, about a mile, in twelve languages. No guide or app; all sales final.www.viator.comOne Password, Two Charleston Routes

The operator's Charleston route page adds a second walk to the same password at no extra charge, and gives you seven days to take both. Route 1, Ghosts of Charleston, is the one in twelve languages: about a mile of walking from Waterfront Park to St. Michael's Church.
Route 2, Journey to the Jail, runs about two miles with fewer stops and plays in English only. It also begins at Waterfront Park, ends at the Old City Jail, and adds music and sound effects. The operator says either route can be started and stopped as you please within that week.
When a Track Won't Play, and When to Walk

If a track will not load, reload the page before skipping the stop. That is the voucher's own instruction, and it is what the operator told a May 2026 reviewer who got nothing from the Pirate House stop: the Pirate House audio had been checked and works, but this browser-based tour sometimes needs a refresh. The same three-star review called the route lots of walking and not the shortest, so plan on steady walking between stops.
There is no start time to keep, so the walk works by day or after dark. The operator's start page says there is no schedule even if a time was picked at checkout, and that no one will meet you. In its reply to that review, the operator added that ghost tours are scarier at night. A February 2026 reviewer praised the quick links to each exact address and called the narrator pleasant to the ear.
What Your Phone Has to Do
Everything runs in the phone's browser, with no app to download. The operator says you need an internet connection for the whole walk and strongly recommends headphones, though the phone speaker works, and the listing says no headphones or equipment are provided. Each audio file opens in a new browser tab: listen, then switch back to the tour tab for the next map link. The voucher also asks you to turn off content blockers if possible.
Passwords are case-sensitive, according to the FAQ, and re-entering your details brings back the same one. Support is by email, and the operator warns replies can take several days; its start page says to message through the booking vendor when something goes wrong.
Refunds, Ages and Access
All sales are final on the listing, and the operator's FAQ says the same: the tour can be used the moment it is bought. One booking takes up to thirty travelers, at one price for every age.
The listing marks the route as wheelchair and stroller accessible. The operator's start page says the walk stays in external, public spaces and does not enter any buildings; neither it nor the FAQ mentions wheelchair access. Its start page leaves safety to the walker: be cautious and stay around others at all times.
📍 Start at Waterfront Park, where Vendue Range meets Concord Street. The listing starts the walk at that corner, and the operator's route page starts it at Waterfront Park. The walk finishes outside St. Michael's Church at 71 Broad Street. Go at dusk if the timing works: the operator itself says ghost tours are scarier at night.
