Tutu's Place by Highway Inn
4.8 (31)cafe
Highway Inn’s welcoming café at Bishop Museum serves local comfort food without requiring museum admission.
Description

Set on the Kapālama campus, the space is named in honor of Nancy Toguchi, who co-founded Highway Inn in 1947 with her husband, Seiichi. While he cooked the food the brand is known for, she established the welcoming hospitality that inspired this room. Drawing on the traditions of kūpuna (elders), the café extends the museum's educational experience into the dining room, creating a communal setting where visitors, locals, and different generations can connect and talk story about food and history.
