Description

Named to honor San Diego's history as a tuna port and commercial fishing industry, the park sits along the waterfront near the USS Midway. Beyond the landmark "Unconditional Surrender" (or "Embracing Peace") sculpture of a kissing sailor and nurse, the grounds include several other maritime monuments linked by walking paths, with wide sightlines across San Diego Bay to track passing ships.
