Description
When King Mark of Cornwall dispatches Tristan into battle to fetch his Irish bride Yseult, the pair fall madly in love. Rice relocates the court to “The Club of the Unloved,” framing the myth more like a scene from Reservoir Dogs than Poldark. Backed by over two decades of stagings, the production cuts tragic romance with comedic levity, propelling the story with new and found music that has audiences clapping and dancing through their tears.
