Tres Rios Wetlands Hayfield Site
4.3 (25)park
A restored Salt River wetland where quiet trails lead past cottonwoods, reed-lined ponds, and over 150 bird species.
Description

Nearly 700 acres of rehabilitated riparian corridor revive the Salt River to its early 1800s condition, sustained using reclaimed water from a wastewater treatment plant. Framed by willows, mesquites, and desert shrubs, the habitat shelters resident mammals like beavers, bobcats, coyotes, and muskrats alongside wintering songbirds. Visitors regularly head here for walking, running, or spotting local wildlife in an unhurried desert oasis.
