TriBeCa and Riverfront Lookout

Duane Park

Purchased by the city from Trinity Church in 1797, this compact TriBeCa green space records its history through commemorative tablets. Benches make room for a quiet pause, with local dog owners part of the everyday scene. A coffee from Laughing Man across the street fits the stop. Public access runs daily from 6:00 AM to 1:00 AM, leaving room for an early evening break among the landscaped plantings.

Evening on the Esplanade

The promenade at Hudson River Park Lookout offers room to walk, jog or sit beside the water. One World Trade Center provides a distinct subject for photos from this vantage point. Across the Hudson, the New Jersey skyline opens up another view. For a solo visit, you can bring a camera or simply watch the changing light. Sunset adds a reason to pause along this stretch of greenway.

A Shift in Perspective

Duane Park grounds the pairing in neighborhood detail, with commemorative tablets, benches and coffee from Laughing Man across the street. Hudson River Park Lookout opens the view toward the water, the New Jersey skyline and One World Trade Center. Together, they offer a change in scale, from a compact TriBeCa green space to a riverfront promenade. The first rewards attention to local history and everyday life, while the second gives the landscape more room as sunset approaches.
