A neighborhood playground and green space kept lively through volunteer care and donated toys.
Description
In 1999, residents from the Ponce de Leon Heights neighborhood teamed up with First Christian Church of Decatur to revitalize 1.3 acres of church property into a shared community park. Provided by the congregation as an open neighborhood service, the site relies on ongoing local stewardship, including monthly work days on the final Saturday of each month.
