Townsend Trail

The route unfolds as a short loop path sheltered under continuous tree canopy until it borders Wheeler High School's athletic fields. Maintained in part by a neighbor, the quiet trail tracks a stream that yields catches of bluegill, catfish, and smallmouth bass between March and October, alongside occasional otter sightings. It offers an easy pocket of green space, though multiple visitors point out a neglected side to the setting, with visible trash along the creek and trail.
