Slow cooked noodles plus creative small plates give this Lower East Side room a savory Tokyo connection.

🥢 Beyond The Bowl

Chef Ivan Orkin built a following at two Tokyo locations before opening this flagship on Clinton Street, and the kitchen still pairs slow cooked noodles with izakaya starters. The signature tonkotsu ramen arrives with jammy, amber yolked soft eggs, and it is the bowl to order before anything else reaches the table.

Then widen the spread. Pork buns, crispy eggplant, and a potato salad that diners single out by name are the plates to pass around. Service is attentive and child friendly, which makes a family lunch as easy to pull off as dinner for two on the Lower East Side.

Ivan Ramen keeps its doors open daily from 12 PM to 9 PM, a window that covers a late lunch and an early dinner alike. Prices sit in the mid range, with enough on the menu to build a full Japanese meal around one bowl.
